Medicated bath bomb

Yesterday I was given a unique gift I've never been given before -- a medicated bath bomb. As in medicinal marijuana. In a bath bomb. It's called the Chill Pill, and you throw it in the tub when it's full of hot water. The label reads:

"MegaChill Bath Bombs are for lazy days laying back in the tub. When you just can't shake your aches and pains, pop one into your bath for the Mega Chill ultimate dose."

It contains CBD, not THC, for your aches and pains. I really need it as I'm having some terrible pains right now.

It's cutely shaped like a giant prescription pill, and deliciously scented as Buttercream Birthday Cake. It makes me wonder what other scents they carry!
My dispensary doesn't carry as wide of a variety as others, but I appreciate their class and customer service. The next time I'm in the city I'll need to stop by and check out what other kinds of items there are.

BelláPierre gel eyeliner

When I found out that this BellaPierre eyeliner pencil was exactly that, a pencil, I was a little disappointed. I'm so used to having a roll-up eyeliner nowadays that I don't even own a pencil sharpener! But let me tell you, go out and buy a pencil sharpener, because this eye liner is worth it!
I love the way it goes on so dark and smooth, so easy to apply and lasts all day. I did have a little bit of creasing on my eyelid but after one quick fix and it's good for the rest of the day. This eyeliner has quickly become my favorite eyeliner of all the ones I currently own and I'm going to be so lost when I run out. I'm absolutely in love with this product; they have completely won me over, even if I did have to go hunting for a pencil sharpener.

Check out Instagram's #JetsetBellaPierre for all the images you can find on this product from ipsters like you and me.

I forgot to do my eyebrows. :(

Receiving my July glam bag

Today, I never expected to receive the big surprise: my ipsy bag came in! I had been checking the tracking code like a maniacal stalker, though there had been no update to the Canada Post tracking system in three days, so I had no idea where it might be, until we drove into town and parked near the post office and I got the bright idea to check my ipsy tracking email. It was quarter to five in the afternoon, so I didn't have much time to spare checking my email, and lo and behold the miracle came through! My package was there to be picked up! I literally ran to the post office and back, hardly containing my excitement for all my new products. I carefully opened my bag and examined each new thing, telling myself to wait until I get home to test all the new products.
I'm thrilled, but my question is: what's coming next, for August?
I've got a couple pictures for you for now, and later I'll be rating my July glam bag products, so come back again soon!

Featured on @sheamoisture4u on IG!

I was thrilled to find out that Shea Moisture had featured one of my Instagram pictures on their page, and even more thrilled when it got over 1,200 likes!
I am truly in love with their lip crayon I'm using here, it's the color Sarah. Totally worth it!

ipsy July tracking & shipping

Ipsy has started shipping & sending tracking information!

I've been checking my tracking email regularly since I received it. The hot pink metallic package is still in Ontario, but my estimations are predicting for the 17th (hopefully sooner, of course.)
As soon as it's confirmed to have arrived here, I'll be getting to town whatever way I can to retrieve my goodies. I'm so excited; I can hardly wait!

As of right now, it still has this far to go:

Canadian bowling

The other night, I went Canadian bowling, or 5-pin bowling, with my friends for the first time ever. The balls are smaller and there's only 5 pins, and the pins are worth different points. We had a lot of fun, and I did surprisingly well for my first time -- scoring second! The girls won this game, and the ultra-competitive guys came in last. Funny, huh?

I'm 23 years old and this is the first time I've ever done Canadian bowling; if you haven't done it you've got to try it!

Lounging in leopard

This leopard maxi dress is perfect for summer; the light and airy cotton and the full length of the dress makes it 100% comfortable to wear in this heat (averaging at about 95 Fahrenheit this summer where I am located.)
I love to get the full use out of my sunglasses, they're prescription after all, and my eyes are quite light sensitive. They're Laura Biagiotti, vintage glasses, about 25 years old. I love them. :)

ipsy July glam bag preview

Yesterday I checked my email to find that I had received my July glam bag sneak preview, but before I opened it, I had to take a moment to relax; I was so excited my stomach started churning.
Not only am I excited to see what I got, but I'm also excited to see what other people got and how many items we have in common. It's strange, but it makes you feel like you're connected in some way. "She's my ipsy sister; we have 3 of the same items in our bags."
Girl power.

Anyway, here's a list of the special products that each ipsy user will receive one of:

1. tarte deluxe Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer
2. essie nail polish in fashion playground
3. Aurora Gel Effect nail polish
4. Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color
5. Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick
6. Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics 2-in-1 Shadow/Liner

I got #1 in my glam bag this month, but I also really wanted #4 & #5. I know I can't have it all, but I can still dream, right?
I'm really glad I didn't receive #2 & #6; they just don't stand out to me, and I can't imagine I would like an eye shadow pencil like that. Sharpening eye pencils makes me cringe.

I would have LOVED to receive these following items in my ipsy bag:
'Tini Beauty Eyetini Swizzle Stick Eyeliner in Blue Hawaiian

BelláPierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick

Those amazing items should have been in my glam bag, but I'm always so excited to try out products I've never had before, like some of the ones that came in my bag this month:

This is great because I really need a new bronzer, and this one sounds amazing! Amazonian? Clay? Waterproof? What?!
#tarteSummer

It's been a long time since I've bought eye shadow, and since I've only been an ipsy user for a few months now, this will be one of the few to add to the new collection.
I used to be an eye shadow hog. Seriously, I had well over 100 colors from different brands, ranging from bright yellow to navy blue.
My makeup bag was 50 shades of grey, 75 shades of brown and only God knows how many different shades of pink.
#NickaKSummer

I'm excited and nervous to try this at the same time, as it says it is a lip balm it makes me worry about the coverage and thickness, though they say on the ipsy page that it is full-coverage. If so, I'll be SUPER HAPPY because I LOVE red lipstick, and I know my husband will be happy because he loves red lips on me. :)
#BeABombshellSummer

I'm really excited to get this Beachy Salt Spray, especially because hair products aren't something that I usually seek out to buy at the beauty store. I typically go straight for the makeup and then remembering I need shampoo and conditioner at the last second, running to find the trusty Herbal Essences I need and get out of there. I can't wait to try this and see what it does to my hair. Hopefully only good things. :)
 #CoolwaySummer

I feel so-so about receiving this product; I have a friend who had it and she said she didn't like it, but I'm sure we have very different tastes and opinions. I'm always open to trying new face cleansers and makeup removers, but I'm most likely to return to my all-natural facial soaps. We'll see; you never know how a product might change your mind.
#PurlisseSummer

Ipsy hasn't sent out tracking codes yet, but I expect it to be here in about 5 days. I can't wait to get my bag and share my products with you!

xoxo

JulieG Nail Color

I was so thrilled when I opened my bag and saw this bright pink nail polish. Pink is my favorite color and this pink is perfect for summer time, not to mention that this is the only nail color I have since I moved, but I only gave it a 3-star rating because it chipped too easily. And the chipping was happening on my toenails -- somewhere I'd never expect to see polish chip (I do not paint my fingernails. Ever. I am a (quite ashamed) terrible nail biter.)
The Jesse's Girl JulieG nail color is enjoyable, though I wouldn't say this particular brand is one of my favorites, but if it was, say, on the clearance rack, then yea, I'd probably buy a few.
But then again, I buy all the makeup on the clearance rack.

Check out my and others' photos of the JulieG nail polish on IG, using #BohoJG and #ipsy
