I wish that people could see models the way I see them: skinny, bony, phony. Have you seen the video of the model that has all the makeup and PhotoShop done to her? She doesn’t even look like the same woman afterward. Here's another crazy one.
Look at all their bones; their clavicles, sternums, elbows. You can see all of them. How is that right?
Is it better to be overweight or underweight? Neither is perfect, but at least if you’re overweight, or society’s view of overweight, you look healthy and full of life. I’m not saying that being morbidly obese is the way to go, but why would you rather have your bones sticking out than a decently proportioned body?
I don’t think I’m perfect, of course, but I love the way I am. I don’t weigh 100 pounds, I don’t go on crazy diets, and I don’t shave my legs more than once a week. I do have scars, I do bite my nails, and I do eat without thinking.
Blatantly, I think that eating disorders suck; classifying healthy children, teens, and adults as overweight sucks; hiring too thin models sucks. Girls, don’t look at those women that look like starved Africans and think they look beautiful. Chances are, they don’t even really look like that in real life. Don’t idolize them, or think that being as thin as them is any good. Guys, make your girls feel good about themselves. Tell them they’re beautiful how they are. Tell them you love their bodies and that they’re perfect and that you’re glad they’re not like anyone else.
So don’t change for anyone. Do love yourself the way you are. I do.
Look! I'm human! I eat cheesecake! :O
Look! I'm a disgusting girl.
