I wear glasses - very fashionable glasses, at that -- and I wanted to show you my 7 different pairs of non-tinted prescription glasses as well as my 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses. I have great insurance plans that cover the majority of the cost of my glasses (because OHIP doesn't cover SHIT) so I get fancy new glasses every year. :)
I collect glasses like some women collect shoes or handbags. I go back (to my optometrist's office) every so often to check out what I will get next, or to try on pairs I have no chance at getting, just to have fun and dream about all the places I could wear them. I love all of my glasses but I think my orange Versace's and my brown Michael Kors take the cake as favorites. If anything ever happened to them... oh, God, I don't even want to think about it.
From top to bottom (left):
Orange - Versace ? (sorry, these are 7 years old and the model number is scratched off!)
Red - Versace 3092B
Clear/coral - Emporio Armani 9668
Brown - Juicy Couture ? (no model number but I remember the color is called Honey.)
Blue - Neostyle College 365
Red/black - Delancy 46 Burgundy
From top to bottom (right):
Brown - Michael Kors - Bradshaw M2806S
Pink - a non-prescription pair I bought for $20 and don't really care for so I decided to remove it from the list/pictures
*Black/gold/zebra - Laura Biagiotti 130 V 94
*Light brown - Lanvin 214
* vintage frames bought at a vintage sale. The optometrist told me that they are probably older than myself (21 years).
Every pair has a story...
I didn't have blue glasses yet. I really wanted these ones but opted for the Juicy Couture instead. The next year I came back for the vintage sale and the blue ones were on the table. OMG! What luck!
I don't wear these ones often. In fact, they don't see much light of day at all. But I promise to wear them more often. They are more subtle, yet still fashionable, and the closest thing to black frames I will ever get.
I love my Juicy pair. They go with many things in the closet and are not a wild color.
These were my second pair. I loved my first pair of Versace glasses so much I thought I'd get a second! Versace is usually the in-between when it comes to cost. They are not as cheap as, say, Vogue, but they are not as expensive as Gucci.
These Emporio Armani glasses caught my eye because I was looking for a clear frame (and I am still a sucker when I see clear frames). What I love about them is that they have color on the sides and on the frame -- but the color in the frame is so subtle that you can hardly tell. I also wanted to have them in the lavender color they come in.
Unfortunately, they cost a fortune so I only have the one pair.
I love my Michael Kors sunglasses. I first saw them when the optometrist's office had a sunglasses showing and I was told that all Michael Kors were very expensive. Not so for this pair! Fortunately nobody scooped them up so I got them for $108 (plus lenses). I feel like such a diva when I wear them!
Also, what I really love about these glasses is that they are not too dark to wear indoors. I often wear them inside (in the mall or in class, for example), especially if I have a headache (or am very tired) and the lights just seem way too bright for 10 am.

I'm the shit.
These are my newest pair of normal prescription glasses. I wanted something more subtle in color but with a dramatic change in shape. As you can see, my other glasses are all rectangular. I wanted to go for something different and these Lanvin vintage frames are very much different. The problem is that when I wear them to work people think they are my real safety glasses. :/

I'll be back with more posts, and probably saying some crazy stuff because of my withdrawals.
