I have this book called The Bunny Book: How to walk, talk, tease and please like a Playboy bunny.
I got it for $10 at a local bookstore and I read through it pretty quickly.
It's an easy read and it has lots of great tips on how to be the next-to-perfect woman (and if you can follow every single tip you would probably be considered the perfect woman.)
I've gone through the book and highlighted many of my favorite tips -- and I will share a few of the secrets with you -- but I really recommend that you buy the book and read through it. It's a lot better than I expected, and I love that it is written by 3 bunnies who give you their advice and 3 different points of view on everything about being a woman.
Here are a few of my favorite tips from the first few pages of the book:
- Vitamin E and cocoa butter help improve your skin's elasticity; vitamin K is great for spider veins; aloe is good for moisture.
- Applying Tend Skin Liquid after shaving your not-so-public areas can help prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumps and can help clear up existing conditions.
- If you have a juicer, you can use the leftover pulp for a face mask (or even a hair mask) and feed yourself vitamins from the inside and out.
- Don't get a facial before a date, and wait 24 hours before applying makeup again.
- Makeup remover wipes should be alcohol-free and fragrance-free, and natural baby wipes can work just fine.
- Sometimes the $10 jar of moisturizer from your local drugstore has the same or better ingredients than the one sold from the department stores. Check and compare the ingredients.
- Cold milk is a natural alpha hydroxy that you can apply gently with a cotton ball.
- Flip through a women's or celebrity gossip magazine (or the free magazine from H&M that I mentioned before!) for a close-up photo of someone whose makeup you like and practice replicating it in the mirror. ***I find this especially helpful for the people who are like me and have trouble watching and following YouTube makeup instructions/tutorials and need something tangible and motionless.
- Put on makeup in natural light and have the light hit you head-on. Do it by a window, if you can.
- Don't spend too much money on mascara because you have to throw it out every 3 months anyway. A good indicator of this is if your mascara starts stinking.
- Don't blend your eye makeup with your fingers. The oils on your fingertips will make the color look smudgy and uneven, not to mention your fingers will have the majority of the color on them and not your eyelids.
- Waxing your mustache, waxing your eyebrows, and using alpha hydroxy can make it hard for makeup to adhere to skin.
If you like these tips, find them helpful, or need some advice on life, get this book! It has helped me and I refer back to it constantly. :)
