Every year, my family and I go to the Origins warehouse sale. It happens to be this weekend and next weekend this year, and we always make a point to be one of the first ones there for the first day's sale. We got there at 8am and it opened at 9am. There were less than 10 people ahead of us and we got to scout the items through the fence before we even got in. My living room (and my entire former apartment) is completely decked out in wooden animals (a giraffe head above my dark wood mirror, lizards decorating the wall, camels adorning the bookshelves) and I don't have room for much else. This year, the only thing I bought was this wooden lizard in the scratch & dent section. I love the scrath & dent section because most items are nearly perfect except they have a minor mark or abrasion. Some items have ears or tails or the like missing from them, but that can usually be fixed with some glue and possibly a little bit of paint. The circular portion of my lizard figure is broken, but it just needs a bit of wood glue to make it perfect. I am not sure what it is supposed to be used for, but I am guessing it is for candles. Here is what my mother bought, as well - a glass vase molded into a tree part. We plan on cleaning it up and putting a beta fish inside. I can't wait!
They have many interesting things at the sale, which there are a few more pictures of. Happy shopping!
